Over the years I have gathered a great deal of experience, knowledge, and insight into how to be successful playing World of Warcraft. I understand how frustrating it can be when you are just starting out to fully understand all the aspects of the game and quickly level your character. I created this site to help others progress through World of Warcraft by providing some valuable techniques, tricks, strategies, and secrets being used by some of the best WoW players. For those who are just getting started playing World of Warcraft, “WoW” for short, here’s a brief introduction. World of Warcraft was first released on November 23, 2004 and is now the world’s largest Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game or MMORPG. These types of games allow thousands of players from all over the world to battle with and against each other online.

There are a total of 80 levels in World of Warcraft. The original World of Warcraft game includes levels 1-60, while levels 60-80 are included in two expansion packs. The Burning Crusade contains levels 60-70 and Wrath of the Lich King (WOTLK) contains levels 70-80.

The most basic strategy of progressing through the game includes increasing you characters level, gaining experience, making money or gold, and building your reputation. World of Warcraft is divided into two different sides or factions. When you first begin playing, the first thing that you must decide is what side you want to fight for, Horde or Alliance. Once you have made your decision, you can move on to selecting a race. There are ten races within the game:

Horde:

  • Troll
  • Blood Elf
  • the Undead

Alliance:

  • Dwarves
  • Humans

  • Draenei
  • Night Elves

You will also need to select a character class. There are 10 different character classes as well. Each class has its own set of talents and abilities as well its own strength and weaknesses. The class you choose will ultimately determine your role in the World of Warcraft.

As you progress through the game you will need to earn gold, silver, and copper in order to fund your quests. For this reasons, Professions are another major part of developing your WoW character.
