Cooking in World of Warcraft is one of those things that everyone forgets to think about. But, the truth is that anyone in a halfway decent guild will be expected to pick up and utilize cooking to help create the necessary foodstuffs that go into each successful raid.
If you’re on your way to level 80 and have not yet started cooking, now is the time because you’re going to need it eventually. Additionally, even if you do not raid regularly, it can help you save a bit of gold on some necessary stat boosts and can even help you make some gold by selling those very same stat boosts when you are done making them.
There are two ways to level cooking. The first way is to level it up alongside fishing, using the fish you catch to cook and complete the second profession’s leveling necessities at the same time. The second way is to use meats that you can snag off of certain mobs in the game.
In either case, you can also buy the fish or meat off the auction house and save yourself time in the process. Just remember that if you do it this way, you’ll need to have a decent amount of gold set aside to buy all of your materials and you will still need to complete Cooking Dailies to get Northrend Spices to level up the remaining levels at the end to 450.
