Enchanting is one of the more interesting professions in World of Warcraft. It was the first of the many different professions that allowed characters to add boosts to their persons in the form of enchants that can boost stats or add effects to various pieces of gear. Originally, enchanting required that players gather the materials and enchants and then performed the enchanting on other players’ gears. Now, however, with the advent of Inscription, players can create Scrolls from Vellums that will allow them to sell their enchants for use by other players, making it a trading profession (and much more profitable in the process).
It also happens to be one of the easiest professions to make money on the Auction House with due to disenchanting, a sub-skill that allows players to take apart items and sell off their parts. For players who are effectively able to measure the value of the items they dismantle, the profit potential is rather large.
This particular World of Warcraft enchanting guide is going to show you how to level your profession as well as how to start making gold with it using the disenchanting skill:

Leveling Enchanting
Leveling enchanting starts out by training with your Apprentice trainer in your capital city and then getting your first Runed Copper Rod put together. At various increments (marked in this World of Warcraft Enchanting guide), you’ll need to upgrade your rod to make it compatible with higher level enchants.
Level 1-75
To get started, craft your Runed Copper Rod. You will need to buy a Copper Rod to get started from an Enchanting supplier. Later on, when you buy rods for Runing, you’ll need to find a Blacksmith or go to the Auction House to get your materials.
To reach Level 50, I recommend just going to get a few simple greens from the Auction house and disenchanting them. To reach Level 75, just snag a few bracers and use the most basic level enchants you have to get there. Anything will do at this point.
To continue and learn about Levels 75-450 be sure to read Part 2 of our WoW Enchanting Guide.
